EduKite will act as a fully functional system from day one. All that is needed is to add the students and their parents into the database. All purchasers receive Skype-based training and support to ensure each cloud is a success. EduKite will show you how to post notices and activities, how to use the wiki and how to manage portfolios. Each school and pre-school must recommend a ‘point person’ to provide assistance to staff and colleagues, this person is known as the Kite Master. The Kite Master does not need any technical training, as by the time your school is ready to launch, all the staff will have mastered the system. EduKite is designed to engage your entire community and staff, not just those with a special interest in e-learning. EduKite requires no IT staff, technical expertise or special knowledge, and with this system, the path to e-learning has never been more simple. Complete the easy license application form and select the EduKite version most suited to your establishment. E1 is for kindergartens and E2 is for primary schools.

EduKite will confirm your license application by email and will then forward an information pack which includes proforma parent approval form.

Provide EduKite with a list of children, their parents and the classes to which they belong. EduKite then populates your cloud with these details.

EduKite will then provide training for your Kite Master and commission your kites.

Your Kite Master then introduces EduKite to teachers and staff who can access training videos through a member services site.

Launch EduKite to the community – teachers, students and parents can now start enjoying their kites and taking advantage of the increased ease of communication.

Each school using EduKite nominates a member of staff who acts as mentor and facilitator of the system. This person (the Kite master) oversees the EduKite trial and helps integrate the system into the staff psyche.

It is role of the Kite Master to:

act as a contact point between EduKite and your school

follow and assist in the set-up process

liaise with parents concerning the cloud and kites

assist colleagues who may need help understanding the system.

Though the system as a whole is simple and straightforward, some functions, such as reflections and special tasks, require a slightly higher level of understanding than managing notices and homework items. The Kite Master flies a little higher within the system, much like a moderator, to assist colleagues in accessing the full power of the EduKite system. Your Kite Master can be any member of staff, all they need is enthusiasm!
